"Butterfly Alley"
"Butterfly Alley" is an intaglio etching which is usually printed in Prussian blue. It is printed on Rives BFK printmaking paper and is 8 3/4 x 11 7/8 inches in size. I feel that framing is a very personal matter and should be left to the collector and therefore is sold unframed. This print depicts butterflies in aerial combat. It has a very kinetic feel to it. The title comes from "Mig Alley" during the Korean War when Saber jets and Migs dog fought in the skies over Korea. The thought of butterflies in aerial combat came to me one night and this is my attempt to put that image on paper.
