"Oh Wire, Oh Wire, Can She Be"
"Oh Wire, Oh Wire, Can She Be" is an intaglio etching and by far the most difficult and time-consuming I have ever made. The plate took approximately one thousand hours to make. The image is a torso of a woman constructed of cyclone fence. There are two balls of energy inside her and two dishwasher racks from the 1960's. The racks indicate domesticity yet she is strangley sensual with her torn wire in her pelvic area. When framed and matted properly, she takes on quite an unusual quality and is usually the center of attention. She is usually printed in black for the maximum effect. The print is printed on Rives BFK printmaking paper. The edition size is 150. The image size is 16 1/4 x 23 1/8 inches.
Price: $200 (unframed)
